IMMBIZ kicks off micro-loan program for Immokalee businesses
Working together with Florida Community Bank, based in Immokalee, the Immokalee Business Development Center (IMMBIZ) kicks off a micro-loan program for new and growing businesses.
Florida Community Bank presented a $10,000 check August 16th to open the innovative and entrepreneurial small loan project.
Loans starting at $3,000 will be available to new businesses and businesses without any long history of credit. The program differs from traditional business loan programs because the companies receiving the loans will not have to demonstrate a history of success nor a credit history.
Loan applicants will be evaluated on an individual basis by the Immokalee Business Development Center working together with Florida Community Bank.
"We really want to thank Florida Community Bank for stepping up and helping initiate the program," said Marie Capita, director of IMMBIZ. "It demonstrates the bank's commitment to furthering the entreprenuerial spirit of Immokalee."
