Seminole Casino to launch hot air balloon event in April
SPECIAL FROM THE NAPLES DAILY NEWS:
The Seminole Casino in Immokalee is taking a gamble on a new event.
The casino plans a "Balloons Over Paradise" festival in April, with more than 30 hot air balloons staged at the Immokalee Regional Airport.
"Seminole Casino Immokalee strives to be a staple in entertainment in Southwest Florida, and Balloons Over Paradise is a great opportunity to build upon that reputation," said Jim Gibson, the casino's marketing director.
He said the casino is hosting the area's only hot air balloon festival "to provide a fun and unique experience for local residents, while helping drive tourism to the region."
He expects the three-day festival to attract a total of 10,000 to 15,000 spectators. It's scheduled for April 13-15.
